Alone Yet Not Alone movie posterDuring the last couple of weeks, I've had to occasionally pinch myself and wonder, "Is the song I recorded 'Alone Yet Not Alone' really up for an Oscar nomination?!" Well, it turns out that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences just rescinded its nomination. But amidst this wild roller coaster of a ride, "I will praise [the Lord] more and more. My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long" (Psalm 71:15). Aren't you glad some things don't change?! Like the higher plans of our wonderful, sovereign Lord :-). I am grateful that this media flurry has, no doubt, generated interest in the release of Alone yet Not Alone which will be out in theaters this June!

Joni, such a beautiful song, sung by such a beautiful spirit. Can't amigine why you did not win the Acadamy Award and why this honor was ecende, maybe, we'll never know. Your voice is still so lovely, can't wait for the Movie. Joni, you have touched so many, many lives, God had a plan. You personally touched 2 people I know, by contacting them after their accidents, much like yours. God is good, thank you so much.

Hello Joni, I had not listened to the song "alone yet not alone" until today. Beautiful, just spirit filled it is. In this situation of the awards show rescinding your song, God is over this just like He is over all. From the beginning till the end, He covers all. I believe by the Hand of God your song will be heard and all things will be placed unto His works. Your voice is so clear, as velvet. You are a blessing my dear sweet sister. Your in my prayers, and lifted before the one who holds us all. You will be heard, the Father will bring His work forth by His children who honor Him. This is what you have done and do. " All things work together for good to them that love God, for them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 In His love, Micki

Hello Joni, I saw you on Fox last night...I am sadden by the way your beautiful song is being rescinded by the awards show. But, God honors those who honor Him and continues in His work. I would love to see this happen and believe what ever happens, God will get the glory. I would love to meet you one day. If not on this earth, I will see you in heaven. God bless you and all you do. Love in Christ, Micki-kingdom child...

I listened to the song and it was one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard. It brought tears to my eyes. I am on the scout for the movie now. Joni your voice was amazing. I was moved way down deep. I am so sorry this was not able to be sung as planned but the point is---we can still hear it and it is so pretty and so touching. God bless you and allowing you to sing is so well.

It was an Academy Award winning performance. The song blessed my heart in so many way Joni. From your lips to God's ears as they say. Stay strong and know that. Had this not have happened I wouldn't have even known about the movie. Isa. 41:10 Thank you for your love of God and the blessed way you reveal it to the world. Penny

Our laurels will not be from the rulers of this world. When I was a new Christian in the early 70's I was introduced to the artwork of a Christian young lady who drew with a pencil in her teeth. Who would have believed then that so much would be done by that young lady for the Kingdom and for the disabled? Keep up the good work! The crowns are still in the future!

Love and appreciate you; most recently the book about your marriage... Your humility and love for God are an incredible example of Christlikeness. Thank you for your class act (during the "media flurry" and always). I was hoping you'd perform at the Oscars--mostly so your worldwide wheelchair ministry would be highlighted. :(

Joni, we met 24 years ago during your conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Coming all the way from India, it was the dream of a lifetime getting to meet you and sing with you!!! I have listened to your song "Alone, Yet Not Alone" and believe, controversy or not, He will be glorified through this song and through the movie.
