Meet the Amazing Katie Sorensen

Katie and Joni

Last week, Katie stopped by the International Disability Center for a quick visit, and dropped by my office to snap a ‘selfie.’ Although Katie has brittle bone syndrome and uses a wheelchair, she has attained so many incredible goals in her young life. She has her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from USC and has served on leadership teams at our Joni and Friends’ International Family Retreats in China, Thailand, and Ghana (I’m amazed that her wheelchair shows up in one piece). Are you a disabled person who is looking for leadership opportunities? Follow in Katie’s tire-tracks and come serve with Joni and Friends. We love positioning people with disabilities in leadership roles… especially overseas.
