During our Joni and Friends President’s Retreat (a chance to meet and pray with some key donors to JAF, and talk about the future), the JAF team put my art up on display – I can hardly describe my joy in seeing my framed originals up on easels in such a beautiful setting down in Laguna Beach! So many people had questions, and I LOVED explaining why I painted certain subjects, and how, and why I chose oils or pencils or water colors. One of the most precious paintings is a reproduction of an original I drew while I was still in the hospital (using a charcoal pencil in my mouth). I cried when I saw this unusual self-portrait on display – God has done so many miraculous things in my life since those dark, horrific days when I was first injured. Rejoice with me that God is using my artwork to encourage so many others – to Him be the glory!
