So why would we choose to drive to Grand Rapids rather than fly? Getting me on and off a puddle-jumper plane is not a pretty sight, plus, it’s a bit risky for my power wheelchair. So we opted to drive north through some of the most beautiful Fall color — the leaves were just at the very end of their glorious reds and yellows. God is amazing, lining the road with such stunning scenery. Of course, before we even left Chicago, we searched for the nearest Cracker Barrel restaurant on our GPS…and we weren’t disappointed (Ken loves their pancakes and I love the veggie platter). I was happy when we finally arrived in Grand Rapids — a bumpy road and a low-riding vehicle can make for a sore back, but hey, the beds are perfect! Bless you for praying, friend; have a wonderful Sunday worshipping our awesome Savior — Jesus is so good to us all :-).
