Hummingbirds in their nestHummingbirds in their nest

This summer Ken and I watched two hummingbirds build a tiny nest under the leaves of a magnolia tree in our front yard. Each day we cracked open the door, held up the binoculars, and waited to see a baby. Lo and behold, two baby hummingbirds were born! We keep saying how amazing God is. Who else could teach hummingbirds where and how to construct their nests? How can such tiny babies survive a rainstorm? Finally, we were able to watch them ‘fly the coop’ (very reluctantly, it seemed :-). But how did they know to instantly flap their little wings a zillion miles a minute? Everywhere we look, every day our great Creator God provides so many reasons to praise and bless him. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse (Romans 1:20). Look around you this season – yes, there are a zillion reasons to praise our great Creator God!
