At the end of this month, it will be 51 years since I broke my neck. Each year when the anniversary of my diving accident rolls around, I reflect on those first few months and years… first the despair and then the slowly dawning hope as friends came alongside and pointed me to God for answers to my most difficult questions.

Many of these reflections are summed up in this interview (Part 1 and Part 2) with online media outlet The Stream. If the insights bless you, and you know of someone who might be helped by the interview, then share it with your friends!

Need some way to think of this in a Christian way: I have early ALZ (age 66, been 2-3 yrs or so since diagnosed) - anyway, I'm not comfortable with the thot that my husband (of 44yrs) has to someday be my caregiver, I feel I'm causing a burden, from what I know of the ALZ Caregivers meetings, they are all going nuts. And it'll be my fault! The only biblical thot I've come up with it, is that bec. of my health problem, the Lord planned it to be able to do a work in my husband's life, too......I'vve read your marriage book and how Ken became drained from it all.....thanks, in Him, Linda
