Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount

The Blessed WayThe Sermon on the Mount is a feast of practical wisdom for living a Christ-honoring life. When I need guidance or direction, I often refer to the principles Jesus gave in those three chapters in Matthew – the Lord had lots to say regarding giving, prayer, fasting, anxiety, judging others and more. Trying to understand it all in one sitting could feel like devouring a whole smorgasbord of insights. It’s why I’m grateful to the team at Christianity Today for their new book “The Blessed Way.”

In this devotional book, 30 different women authors, myself included, wrote a short vignette about Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount – I wrote about God’s good gifts based on Matthew 7:9-12; “If evil people know how to give good gifts, how much more will God give good gifts to those who ask him?” The brief, easy-to-read format gives the reader bite-sized portions of Jesus’ teaching on which to meditate, allowing the Holy Spirit to impress each powerful truth, one at a time. Since this small book is sold in packs of 10, you can easily invite others to join you on this 30-day study. To find out more about “The Blessed Way,” click on the link below and enjoy the journey.
