Marisa’s Baptism
Not long ago, my friend Marisa was baptized at McLean Bible Church. I first met Marisa more than fifteen years ago at a Joni and Friends Family Retreat in Sandy Cove, Maryland. She is quadriplegic due to cerebral palsy, so we instantly had a bond!
Recently she decided to follow Christ in baptism, and since she was unable to get in and out of the baptismal by herself, a team of friends stepped in to help. I love this picture of volunteers carrying a paralyzed friend to Jesus, just like the story in Luke 5. Take a moment to watch this brief video of Marisa’s baptism, and be encouraged!
