The Dead in Christ WILL Rise!

The other day, on our way to LAX airport, we passed by the big military cemetery next to the 101 freeway near UCLA. As we sped by, I murmured that verse, “And the dead in Christ will rise.” I say it every time I pass by any cemetery. It’s a habit I cultivated many years ago. Because when I see tombstones, they are a vivid reminder of that wonderful portion of Scripture from I Thessalonians chapter 4 where it says that, “…and the dead in Christ shall rise first…” after that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air… Therefore encourage each other with these words.” Friend, I challenge you to look at cemeteries the same way – let them be a reminder for you to recite one of the most encouraging passages in all of Scripture from I Thessalonians 4:16-17.
