A Surprise Visit

You probably know that our Joni and Friends International Disability Center is situated up against the outskirts of Agoura Hills, California – and underline that word “hills” because they are actually the Santa Monica Mountains. All season, it’s been dry in our area with little water for vegetation for the wildlife up in the mountains.

But one morning, strolling across our parking lot (looking for tasty rose bushes, I'm sure), a beautiful stag appeared. As we strained to admire him from our windows, I was reminded once again, that:

“This is my Father’s world,
And to my list’ning ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas—
His hand the wonders wrought."
