Thirty-Six Years!

My husband Ken and I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Flipping through photos of that special moment, I feel like our wedding day was just yesterday. But it’s also fun looking at pictures of the two of us even now, after 3 1/2 decades of life together. Even though we had taken things slowly and considered carefully what marriage would look like with quadriplegia in the mix, we had little idea of the overwhelmingly hard times ahead.

After years of marriage, though, I am so glad we made it through the difficult seasons. It’s taught us how to face all the new challenges (like my precious husband now having to occasionally get up an extra time to turn me at night).
