Wheelchairs to Tanzania

Lisa with children in TanzaniaLisa Miehl serves as my executive assistant at Joni and Friends, and recently she went to Tanzania on a missions trip. I asked if she would be willing to do a side-trip and ‘shepherd’ 8 pediatric wheelchairs to go to young people with disabilities living in a small Christian children’s home near Mount Kilimanjaro – she said she’d be happy to make it work! And so, just recently, Lisa and Dana Croxton, a long time Wheels for the World mechanic, visited the “Light in Africa” home and hand-fitted our Regency pediatric wheelchairs to 8 happy recipients. I’m so glad that Lisa and Dana and I are helping Wheels for the World reach its goal to deliver 100,000 wheelchairs by 2020. Want to get involved? Here are all the details!
