Beautiful Feet

The other day, I met with a friend, and oh my goodness — she had the cutest shoes on! You know… high heels, with nicely manicured toes. It made me think of back when I was on my feet and I could wear all kinds of fun shoes. But now? Well, not only can I not walk, but my feet have changed. Sitting in a wheelchair all day makes blood pool in my legs, and my feet look puffy and swollen. Perhaps like with me, a disability has changed the way your feet look or feel. Maybe it’s arthritis, diabetes, or an injury at war. If so, let me encourage you with this verse from Isaiah 52:7, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say… ‘God Reigns!’” There you go, friend — if you share the Good News of Jesus, God says your feet are BEAUTIFUL!
