You Send So Much More than Wheelchairs…You Send Hope!
Recently, 11-year-old Kenya and her mother came to our Wheels for the World outreach in need of a wheelchair. Kenya has bone cancer and had to have her right leg amputated. Once a month, she and her mom, Brenda, take the bus into the city for Kenya’s cancer treatments. Brenda is a single mom and provides for her three other children with no support from her ex-husband.
She has little money, and getting a much-needed wheelchair for Kenya was an impossible dream…
But because of your generosity, the impossible became possible that day at our Wheels for the World outreach. You strengthened this family’s faith and showed them that nothing is impossible with God! Our volunteer Wheels team made sure Kenya’s wheelchair fit her perfectly. Also, a Bible was given to Kenya, and a local pastor shared the Good News of Jesus.
